About ESS Consulting, LLC
After applying her experience conducting original research, analyzing data, and evaluating theoretical approaches to adult learning in academia through the dissertation process, our founder recognized the need to focus on understanding organizational challenges as a fundamental step to creating learning interventions. With this approach, we focus on identifying barriers and root cause analysis so that we may target specific objectives by leveraging and recommending an ever-growing suite of dynamic instructional modalities. We posit that many learning interventions don't move the needle on ROI due to a lack of thorough understanding of the problem.

Elizabeth (Beth) Shakespeare, Ph.D.
Beth opened this boutique learning services firm in response to a growing need for rigorous, structured learning and development diagnostics, design, development, and measurement across a variety of industries. Drawing upon deep expertise in adult learning and instructional design, and extensive experience in healthcare, finance, and higher education, she discovered a passion for helping clients identify organizational and performance gaps, design and develop targeted interventions with a structured approach, and evaluate effectiveness of learning solutions.
